He was born in Denver, Colorado, the middle child of 3 to Pearl Rebecca [DeWester] & Arthur J Ace.
During World War II he took part in The Battle of the Bulge, where he was taken prisoner. After going through the war and being a prisoner-of-war, Charles died a day before his 28th birthday of cancer.
He was survived by his wife Christiana [Prall] and 3 children, sons Duane, Norman and daughter Connie Sue.
