Georgia Mae Smith, 82, died Saturday. She was a housewife and member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in McAlester. Born Dec. 20, 1895, at Atkins, Ark., she and William H. Smith were married at Eufaula on Feb. 19, 1912. He died in 1974. Survivors include two sons, William E. Smith, Lodi, Calif. and John T. Smith, Kansas City, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Charlene Wilson, Mrs. Mildred Harvell, Mrs. Hildred Webb, all of McAlester, Mrs. Wanda Thompson, Talent, Ore. and Mrs. Elizabeth Quiller, Alburuerque, N.M.; a sister, Mrs. Ada Shackleford of McAlester; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m., Wednesday in Mills Chapel. Revs. Harry Lee and Earl Jenson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Al Durant, Roy Young, Allen Vertrees, Art Walker, Harlen and Otis Cobb.
