Mr. John “Junior” Shumate, age 98 of Elkton, passed away at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, KY. Burial in the Todd County Meadow Haven.
Mr. Shumate was born Augsut 28, 1922 the son of the late John Frances Shumate and Beulah Harris Shumate. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ann Camp Shumate in 2010.
He is survived by his son Johnny Shumate and his wife Jami of Goodlettsville, TN and his daughter Donna Pickerill and her husband Bob of Hopkinsville, KY.
