Virginia Louise Gibson, 91, passed away in Oklahoma City on Tuesday October 20, 2020, with family by her side.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan with Rev. Steve Morcom officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Virginia was born to Alonzo Marvin Alexander and Mary Erma (Wagnon) Alexander in Duncan on July 2, 1929. She had lived in the Duncan area most of her life, only recently moving to the Oklahoma City area. She graduated from Duncan High School. Virginia married Ertis Brannon Gibson in Duncan on June 27, 1952. Virginia worked as a payroll clerk for various companies and retired from Duncan Equipment after many years.

Virginia was a sports lover and especially loved watching Thunder basketball. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Virginia also loved to play bridge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Duncan.

Virginia is survived by two daughters: Lisa Bertalot and husband Don of Houston, Susan Gibson of Oklahoma City; one grandson: Daniel Bertalot of Houston; and a sister: Eilene Riddles of Comanche.

Along with her husband, she was preceded by her parents, and two brothers: Clifford Alexander, and Glen Alexander.
