Karen's father was in the USN during her childhood, thus she and her siblings were all born in different states. Karen was the third of four children.
She attended high school in McLean, VA and Roselle, IL.

Karen worked for the Willy Wonka Candy Company in the Chicago area at one point. Most of her career was spent as a paralegal and she was well regarded. After she followed her parents to Phoenix, she worked for Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner until about a year before her death. She was the primary helper for her parents until they died and took excellent care of them. Her mother depended on her greatly after the death of her father.

Karen loved dogs and had many over the years - she was a true "dog person." One of Karen's favorite hobbies was traveling and she especially enjoyed the trips she took with her older sister.

She was married in Feb. 2020 in Phoenix, AZ to her long time boyfriend, but divorced not long after. She did not have children of her own. Karen was survived by her beloved dog, brother, two sisters, two nephews and three nieces. Karen's contagious laugh and great sense of humor will be greatly missed.
