Dennis was born on December 5, 1930 in Pullman, Washington and passed away on October 18, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Dennis grew up in Pullman, where he lettered and help take his high school track-and-field team to the State Finals, three years in a row, for long distances running. Mr. Robertson then joined the United States Army in 1951 and served until 1955, transitioning into the Army Reserves, where he continued his service into the early 60’s. He built on his Army training by going to college for two years, and vocational technical college, honing his skills with machinery and obtaining highly sought after, ‘post-war’, certifications. Soon, he began a career with Willamette Bingham Pump up in Washington State, as a Machinist. Dennis evolved with the technology and his skills increased as the company grew. Willamette funded additional education and he began programming the machines, then ultimately, programming the computers, on which the heavy equipment and machines ran. In his Thirty-Five years, he went from Machinist, to Computer Programmer, to Engineer. He wound down his career in Shreveport at Non-Stop Scaffolding. He mentored many, along the journey! In the late 60’s the company expanded operations in the Southern region and offered Dennis a relocation package to Louisiana and he took it. Once settled in, he met his true-love, Lucy Mae Franklin. After a few short years of courtship, the couple got married and settled down. Dennis was a wonderful, caring, and hardworking, brother, father and husband. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by: father, Dennis Offa Robertson; mother Ethel Bernace Simpson Robertson; and a brother, Keith Robertson.

He survived by: his loving wife of 38 years, Lucille Mae Robertson; son, Dennis O. Robertson, Dave Robertson, Glen Robertson (Joanna); daughter, Teresa Faulhaber (David); step-children, Steve E. Franklin, David Franklin (Laura), and Martha Cathey (Tom).

Also left to cherish the memory of their beloved “Pa” are 14 grand-children. Additionally, remaining to carry on his legacy for years to come, on this earth, are 21 great grand-children. The family kindly ask that all current COVID mitigations be observed during services.
