Mr. Bryant passed Monday, October 19th at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Ashland City.
Born in Stewart County, George was the son of the late Edward and Lorraine Spicer Bryant. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for State Industries (now A. O. Smith Corp.). He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bucksnort, TN.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rose Hooper Bryant; a son, Christopher Bryant; siblings, Tom Bryant, Floyd Bryant, John Bryant, Margaret Claxton, Juanita Parrott, Mary Jane Pulley, Betty Spicer, and Maybelle Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Charlie Bryant (Amanda), of Charlotte and Bobby Bryant (Tammy) of Ashland City; a daughter, Tonia Ritchie (William) of Charlotte; a brother, Benny Bryant (Marti) of Carlisle, TN; a sister, Polly Lane (“Rabbit”), of Stewart Co.; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Dennis Cook.
