James Edward Elam

James Edward Elam was born on November 29, 1945 in Knox County, Kentucky; the son of the late James Walter Elam and Ida Belle Owens. He was united in marriage to Mary Franchiseur Elam who survives of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by three children, Jimmy Lee Elam and wife Crystal, Melissa McQueen and husband Donnie and Brandon Franchiseur all of London; a sister, Tina Jones of Grays, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jaden Elam, Addison Elam, Lacy Baker and Kayla Cawood; four great-grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by eight siblings, Pina Gilbert, Clinton Elam, Norma Warren, Ethel Barnes, Joy Watson, Kenneth Elam, Irene Keene and Lola Dutell.
James was a retired from AllTel and of the Baptist Faith.
James Edward Elam departed this life on Monday, October 19, 2020 being 74 years, 10 months and 20 days of age. Lonnie Collette will officiate the service; burial will follow in Marion-Johnson Cemetery in Girdler, Kentucky.
