With heavy hearts the family of Harold G. Snyder, known as the "Bear Man" 72, announces his passing on Sunday (Oct. 18, 2020) at his home where he had been in failing health.

Born July 14, 1948 in Malone the son of Raymond and Bethel (Downer) Snyder. He attended Brushton Moira Schools. On July 15, 2000 he united into marriage with Brenda Nichols. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time at his hunting camp.

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Brenda and his daughter Jolene Nicols and her companion Thomas Hartson. He is also survived by three grandchildren Jerry Streeter, Noah Hartson, and Natalie Hartson.

His siblings Alfred Snyder of North Bangor, Billy Snyder of North Bangor, Roger Snyder of Lawrenceville, Dennis (Barbara) Snyder of Massena, Becky Barse of St. Regis Falls, Florence Baker of Churubusco, Denise Prue of Chateauguay, Donna Lee Hamilton of Niagara Falls, Bethel Snyder of Ft. Covington, and Judy Dublin of Malone survive him.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his siblings Raymond Snyder Royal Snyder Paul Snyder and Alice Gibson.

A time of visitation will be held Saturday (Oct 24) from 11-1:30p.m. at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. A graveside service will commence at 2 pm at the Mound Hill Cemetery, Nicholville. Due to the current health care regulations mask and social distancing will be encouraged.
