Robert H. ‘Bobby’ Akers, Jr., 49 of Yokohama, Japan, passed away unexpectedly at his home in on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018.

He was born December 19, 1968 at Memorial Hospital of Bedford County, a son of Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Mearkle) Akers of Breezewood and the late Robert H. Akers, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Miki (Seino) Akers of Yokohama, Japan, a brother Gregory Akers, and a niece Krickett Akers of DeRidder, Louisiana.

.A graduated of Everett Area High School, Class of 1986, Bobby served in the Navy from 1988 until 2011. While stationed at Yokosuka Japan, he met and fell in love with Miki Seino, and they were united in marriage on December 5th, 1998.

After retiring from the Navy, Bobby remained in Japan working as a contractor for the United States Navy as a Boiler Inspector.

His funeral services were held in Yokohama, Japan on December 2nd and 3rd, 2018, and his family is grateful for the condolences and respectfully request no flowers or donations.
