Mrs. Mary Evans
Services for Mrs. Mary Evans, 87, were held at Hebron Church at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon July 29 with Rev. C.E. Burden officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Evan's death came at the J.J. Evans residence, Route 2, Vaiden, after an illness of 3 months. She was born in 1860 & was married to J.J. Evans, Sr. in 1879. She was a member of the Pine Bluff Bapt. church.
Surviving is 4 daughters, Mrs. Nettie Jackson, Ethel; Mrs. Oscar Chesteen, Winona; Mrs. T.C. McClellan, Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Bettie Garrett, Kilmichael; 4 sons; E.E. Evans, Memphis; Joel Evans & J.J. Evans of Vaiden; W.C. Evans of Kilmichae & a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
