Sandra K. Shepperd, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 15, 1940 in Heltonville, IN, she was the daughter of George Bailey and Laura Henderson. She married Russell W. Shepperd on January 1, 1971 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1997.
Sandra was a member of New Hope Community Church in Bedford.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Sandra is: her son, Rusty Shepperd of Bedford; daughter Deanna (Kevin) Stalder of Bedford; grandchildren: Cheyenne Stalder (Jason Bentz), Derrick (Ashle’) Stalder, Darci (Caleb) Bell, Austin Perry, Dylan Perry and Ryland Stalder; daughter-in-law Alesia Perry; step-daughters Gwen Norman of Bedford and Karen (Larry) Dalton of Bedford; one sister, Joyce (Gene) Terrell of Georgia.
Preceding Sandra in death were: her son, Donald B. Perry II of Bedford; daughter Kathy Caldwell of Indianapolis; step-daughters Cathy Shepperd of Indianapolis and Jacque Rollins of Bedford; a brother, Rodney Bailey of Bedford; and a sister Sue Trusty of Texas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Sister Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Mundell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm Friday and Saturday from 9:00am until the hour of the service, all at Ferguson-Lee.
