Daniel Lesesne Hendricks, 22, of Asheville, NC, died September 21, 2007.
He was born July 8, 1985, in Asheville, NC, to parents, Stephen E. Hendricks of Asheville, NC, and Ann Kester Hendricks of Cleveland, TN. Daniel moved to Cleveland, TN, as a small child and went through the school system there, graduating from Cleveland High School. He came back to Asheville, NC, and was currently a student at UNC-Asheville. An avid lover of the outdoors and kayaking, Daniel was a Junior Olympic Kayak Competitor. Daniel was also a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Lewis and Margaret Hendricks.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Elizabeth "Lake" H. Clark and husband, Christopher of Abbeville, SC; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Frances Kester of Columbia, SC; paternal step-grandmother, Caroline Mauldin Hendricks of Columbia, SC; nephew, Elliot Clark; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
