She was born in Richlands, Virginia; daughter of the late Lowell K. McGlothlin. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lowell Eugene and Opal McGlothlin and James Cecil “Sam” and Blanche Dotson. She attended Mary’s Chapel Church in Coeburn, Virginia and worked at Issues and Answers in Lebanon, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband of forty-four and a half years, Scottie Parks; her mother, Mary Lynn McGlothlin of Castlewood, Virginia; two sisters, Deborah Lynn Stevens of West Virginia and Diana Y. Kilgore and husband, Denny of Coeburn, Virginia; special niece, Chrystal Lee Stevens of West Virginia; three half-brothers; two half-sisters; a special brother-in-law, James Grayson Stevens; and special friends, Lacy and Phylis McReynolds.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Pamela Kay Parks will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Marty Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Friends, Family, and Members of the Castlewood Rescue Squad.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlewood, Virginia.
