Walter Ray Martin
October 19, 2020:

Walter Ray Martin, age 87, of Fulton, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2020.

Walter was born April 2, 1933, in Callaway County, Missouri, the son of Elwood Martin and Freida (Dillon) Martin.

On December 22, 1951, Walter married Betty Ann (Higgins) Martin and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2017.

Walter served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Walter was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fulton. He operated Champlin Station in Fulton, Missouri, owned and operated North Side Texico, hauled grain for farmers, was a life-long farmer and later retired from MFA Bulk Plant, in Fulton, as manager.

Walter was a friend to many and his favorate thing in life was helping others.

Walter is survived by his children, Debbie Autenrieth (Phil), Darrell Martin (Shelby) and Jeff Martin (Vicky); grandchildren, Melissa Autenrieth (Jonathan Read), Vince Martin (Shantell), Chris Martin (Kim), Carmen Pritchett (Chris) and Aaron Martin (Periann Reinert); great-grandchildren, Addi and Jax Martin, Colton and Kaylee Pritchett, Rachel aqnd Brooks Miller, Kaedon and Kylee Macon.

In addition to his parents and his wife of fifty-six years, Betty Ann, Walter was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry, Clifford, Boyd and Kenny Martin; one sister, Norma Pasley.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be Friday, October 23, 2020, at 11:00am at Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Gideons International.

Arrangements were under the direction of Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
