Boonville, IN- Phyllis Joleen Marshall, age 79, passed way on October 19, 2020 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, Indiana. Phyllis was born in Degonia Springs, Indiana on January 10, 1941 to Joseph Earl and Irene (Bruner) Dimmett.

She married to her husband, James, of 61 years on August 11, 1951. She spent her life taking care of her children and husband as a homemaker. Phyllis always took pride in her small-town community being a member of Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church and volunteering at the Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City. She was a lover of Elvis gospel music.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, James Marshall; two children, Rick Marshall (Cathy) and Tamela Wasson (Greg); and grandchildren, Derick Marshall (Melissa), Chris Marshall, Ericka Marshall, Mariah Wasson (Spencer Jones), Brian Schoonover (Shannon), Eric Schoonover, and Michael Light (Jaimee).

She is proceeded in death by her parents and four brothers; Ronnie, Larry, Bill, and Dimmett.

Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. at Little Zion Cemetery in Tennyson, Indiana with Oran Bruner and Gina Masterson officiating. Koehler Funeral Home of Boonville, Indiana is being entrusted with care. Published in Courier Press from October 20, to October 22, 2020.
