Jack served seven years in the Navy during the 1960s. He took early retirement but reentered the work force part time as a greeter at the Batesville Walmart for 13 years.
Jack was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jackson; his parents, Jewel Douglas Jackson and Virginia Mae Stalkup; and sister, Peggy Bates of Texas.
He is survived by his step daughter, Sonja Stephens (Tom) of Pleasant Plains; step son, Timothy Smith (Debra) of Houston, Texas; sister, Ellen Overstreet of Waco, Texas; as well as, three step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, twelve nephews and nieces.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Reeves Cemetery in Melbourne, AR at a later date.
