Mr. Richard Lee Maynard, of Marthasville, MO, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis. Richard was born on February 24, 1941 in St. Louis, MO, to the late John and Dorothy (nee: Golz) Maynard. He had reached the age of 79 years 7 months and 25 days.

Richard was married to Barbara Ann Enright on June 1,1962 in Cardell, OK. They spent 56 wonderful years together before her passing in 2018. They were blessed with three sons; Doug, Mike and Steve. Richard served our country in the United States Air Force, with 4 years of active duty followed by 38 years in the Air National Guard, for a total of 42 years of service. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 180 and the Honor Guard. He was also a past member of the Wright City Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing and just being outdoors. Richard was also a member of the Charette Baptist Church, where he was generous with his time and assistance while expressing concern for everyone in his church family.

Richard was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Barbara; and his parents, John and Dorothy and one sister, Donna Allen. He is survived by his children; Doug Maynard, Mike Maynard and wife Jennifer, and Steve Maynard, three grandchildren, Chelsey, Caleb, and Shae; two great grandchildren, Charlee and Grace, two brothers, Thomas Hilliker and Kenneth Heiland and wife Jackie; one sister, Margaret Bartlett and husband Dale, and other relatives and friends.

The family will be celebrating Richard's life on Saturday, October 24, 2020 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Services will begin at 5:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Monday October 26, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorial donations are preferred to the American Legion Post 180 or to the Veteran's Memorial Wall, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, MO 63383.
