Cartoonist J.H. Shonkwiler returned Tuesday night from a sad errant in the home of relatives near Wakefield, having been called there by the death of his grandmother, Mrs. George W. Cockrell. She died Sunday afternoon and was buried Tuesday afternoon. The funeral was conducted from the home by Rev. J.M. Chandler of Lucasville and the interment took place at the cemetery near Wakefield. By a coincidence, the end came to her on the 55th? Anniversary of her marriage. Rebecca Williams, daughter of John and Delilah Williams was born in Adams County January 1, 1926, died January 8, 1905, aged 79 years and 8 days. She was married January 10, 1850 to George W. Cockrell. To this were born seven children of whom four are living. John M., Sarah E., Elijah, and James H.
