Ashby Died In
St. Louis Sat.
Former Farmer In Clarke And Lucas
Counties; Funeral To Be Thursday
G. L. Ashby, well known farmer in Clarke and Lucas counties, died Saturday night at the home of his son, Lewis in St. Louis, Mo., following a brief illness. He was the step-grandfather of Mrs. Leslie Clark of Osceola.
Ashby was a resident of the Jay community for 20 years. The past six years he spent with his children in Des Moines and had arrived at the home of his son only a few days before his death.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 13, at Sinton, Texas.
