Irven came to Missouri in 1907 from Kentucky with his family. For a few years they lived around the Forsyth area. Later moving to Bradleyville where his dad homesteaded a farm in the Union Flat Area near Bradleyville, Mo.
He lived in that area till 1970 when they moved to Sparta to be closer to their son & family.
He was a member of the New Mansion General Baptist Church at Union Flat.
