Martha Elizabeth Smith Robinson was the daughter of Samuel Smith and Matilda Dennis. According to an entry on the Confederate Widows Pension she filed on November 19, 1917 in Texas, she was 78 years old, and born in Lowndes County, Alabama. Her death certificate states that she was "Over 90 years old" on the date of her death in 1929, that she was born in Alabama, and confirms the names of her parents.

She married Reverend George Michael Robinson on 18 Dec 1888 according to Indexed Marriage Records found on Ancestry.com. Her Widows Pension application states that the couple was married on the 20th day of Dec 1888, in Travis County, Texas.

According to the application information of his widow, Reverend George Michael Robinson also drew a Pension for his Confederate Service. His Pension File Number was given as 3934. The Pension Application of his widow also states that he served in the Georgia Cavalry as a Colonel.

He was married previously to Mary (full name was Mary Wingfield Johnston Robinson, according to her memorial page). She was born 3 Aug 1848 in Georgia, and died 10 Dec 1886 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Reverend George Michael Robinson was born 4 Apr 1835 in Carroll County, Georgia, and died 16 Nov 1917 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Find A Grave Memorial Records document that Mary and George M Robinson are buried in Section 3, Lot 544 of Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Id Numbers are 33641478 (George) and 33641440 (Mary).

Martha Elizabeth Smith Robinson's Death Certificate documents Oakwood Cemetery as her burial location. She is also buried in Section 3, Lot 544.

At this point in my research, I have only located her in four censuses: 1850, 1860, 1900, and 1910.
She was possibly married between the 1860 census and her 1888 marriage to Reverend George Michael Robinson. (This is according to information documented in the 1910 census, which documents each of them as "M2", or Married Twice. )
