Janice was born February 17, 1952 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Merle and Beulah Inez (Bennett) Whitmire. She was raised and attended school in the Oklahoma City area. Janice moved to California in the early 1970's, moving back to Oklahoma in the late 1970's. She worked many years as a waitress. Janice enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Merle Whitmire and Beulah Chambers; a son, Roy; and brothers, Butch Whitmire, Billy Whitmire and Johnny Hughes. Janice is survived by her son, Jamie Whitmire and wife, Holly of Norman; her daughters, Sherry Hernandez and husband, Aaron of Maysville, Crystal Compton and Lucy Anderson of California; her grandchildren, Darrin, Dustin, Chaz, Josh, Charlie, Dante, Michael; her great grandchild, Hudson; her sisters, Shirley Goodman of Kentucky and Sandra Ruttez; and numerous other relatives and friends.
