Shirley Sue Talley
Shirley Sue Talley passed away in a Katy hospital on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the age of 83 years. She was born on November 15, 1936, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Thomas Brady and Lucille McCarrol Brady. Shirley was a wonderful artist and pianist who loved to garden, but she loved her family most of all. She has been a Houston resident for the past 24 years, where she was an active member of Second Baptist Church, West Campus.
She is survived by her four daughters, Shawn Bay of Katy, Texas, Sandra Yoakum of Austin, Texas, Sonya Self of Katy, Texas, and Susan Sowell also of Katy; her soulmate, John Cornett of Katy, Texas; brother, Gerald Brady of Lafayette, Louisiana; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Pierson, Michael Bay, Jonathon Bay, Lauren Yoakum, Courtney Yoakum, Kayla Self, Garrett Self, Laney Leonard, Caleb Sowell and Jessica Sowell; as well as her two great grandchildren, Addie Pierson and Liayla Pierson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Talley; parents, Thomas and Lucille Brady; and brother, Bud Brady.
A private graveside service will be held at Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
