Brenda L Williamson, of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 12:15 p.m., after a battle with cancer.
She was born on October 24, 1950, to Charles and Wanda (Watson) Hensley.
Brenda was a 1968 graduate of Havana High School. She married Larry Haubensak on October 12, 1969. She was a homemaker for many years and after her divorce; Brenda would spend many years working for Oney's in Havana. On November 27, 1993, she would marry Mike Williamson at the Havana Church of the Nazarene. Brenda and Mike would live in Minier, Illinois before settling in Petersburg. Brenda and Mike were always active members in their churches and they both last worshipped with the Oakford United Methodist Church.
Mike preceded her in death on August 24, 2016. Brenda was also preceded in death by both of her parents and her stepdad, Bob Tibbs.
She is survived today by her sister, Amy (Joe) Miller; 2 daughters, Tish (Ben) Simpson and Sarah (Doug) McGinnis; four grandchildren, Kyle, Jayden, Myra and Haylie; 2 aunts and many, many cousins.
Per Brenda's request there will be a private family burial at Oakford Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations can be made in Brenda's name to the donor's choice of organization.
