José “Mr. G” García, age 86 a longtime resident of Anton Chico, NM, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
José was born on November 16, 1933 to Corsenio García and Andreita Perea in Dilia, NM.
José was a caring father, grandfather and friend.
José served in the United States Army.
José worked at the Steel Mills in Colorado, he enjoyed raising cattle, sheep and goats. José loved his dogs.
José retired from LVII after 25 years of employment.
José was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary García, brother, Isidro García, sister, Esther Langley, son, Tommy García, daughter, Rachel García, grandson, Derrick Padilla, brother, George García and infant daughter.
Jose is survived by his son, Randy M. García (Kathy) of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren, Michael García, Rachel Padilla, Benita Romero, Ashley Sáiz, Helen Sáiz and Yvette García, great-grandchildren, Mari, Alannah and Autumn, sisters, Nora Sena and Virginia Aragón (Carlos), both of Albuquerque, NM, brother-in-law, Beannie Montaño (Rosa) of Anton Chico, NM and numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., funeral mass to follow with both services to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant. Due to Covid 19 attendance is limited to immediate family only. Masks are required.
Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
