Marilyn June Atkins, age 90, of Martinsville, IL passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Marshall Rehab and Nursing Center, Marshall, IL.

June was born June 3, 1930 in Clark County, IL, to the late Wayne P. Medsker and Florence Wells Medsker. She was preceded in death by husbands Carlton Biggs and Darrell Atkins.

Survivors include her sister, Beth Hensley (the late Maurice) of Mooresville, IN and nieces, Jane Schnelle (Greg) of Eaton, OH and Janet Moritz (Scott) of Mooresville, IN.

June was a 1948 graduate of Martinsville High School. She continued her education at Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana State University), graduating with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. June retired after 25 years as a business teacher at Palestine High School, Palestine, IL. June was a proud 50-year member of the Marshall Chapter 739 Order of the Eastern Star.

Private graveside services and burial will be conducted on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL with Pastor Ken Crawford officiating.
