Thomas McGlothlin, aged about 70 years, an old and highly respected resident of the Harrodsburg neighborhood, died very suddenly Tuesday evening about 6:30 o’clock as a result of an attack of heart failure.
The deceased had for some time been employed to carry the United States mail from the Harrodsburg Monon passenger station to the Post office and was enroute with the pouches off northbound Bloomington accommodation No. 8 last evening when the fatal attack overtook him. He used a one-horse wagon in transporting the mails and was seated on the wagon when stricken. He fell from his seat and expired in a few moments.
A widow and four sons survive. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been learned.
