James Mathias Barber, who died Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 25 days, was born Dec. 9, 1864, at Westminister, Md. He was united in marriage Nov. 4, 1884, with Julia A. Williams. To this union were born five children, Herbert, May, Anna, Lottie and James. He is survived by his widow and four younger children, also by 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held on Friday. The friends are to meet at the house at 2 o'clock and regular services will follow at the Maple Grove church, the Rev. Clyde M. Porter of the Ashland M. E. church officiating. Interment will be made in Maple Grove cemetery.
