Dee Allen Wright, 68, of Riesel, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplain Curtis Holland and the Rev. Toni Kracke officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco.

Dee Allen was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Dee and Elma (Jones) Wright. He grew up in Chilton and graduated from Chilton High School. He received a B.A. Degree in Science from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1961. He also served in the Army National Guard. Dee Allen worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Riesel and Temple for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Dee Allen's passion was woodworking and he enjoyed playing dominoes. He loved his family dearly and was a friend to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patricia Ann Wright, of Riesel; daughters, Alishia Wright, of Riesel and Marcia Mayfield and husband, Brigham, of Waco; grandchildren, DarryanLee Wright, Nick Mayfield, and Gayle Mayfield.

Pallbearers will be Brigham Mayfield, Nick Mayfield, Jack Allen, Creston Voges, Boyd Voges, and Alan Gariepy.
