Philomina Platzer was born at home on 2 Marienstrasse 14, Hamburg, Germany on the Aug 6, 1868. In 1875, she emigrated with her parents, Joseph Platzer and Johanna Wernly and siblings to New York from Hamburg. She married Wilhelm Ullrich (a tailor and son of Frederick and Ann Ullrich immigrants from Germany) of New York on Sep. 4, 1887 at the German Evangelical Missions Church on Hopkins St, Brooklyn. They had one son Charles Ullrich born July 16, 1891. She died at age 25 about 1 year after her husband; it was said she died of a broken heart after loosing her husband. Her death certificate states she died of phthisis (pulmonary tuberculosis). Her parents raised her son.
