Bertalou (Hattis) Lumbert age 85 of Muir, passed away February 10, 2014 in Grand Rapids. She was born January 23, 1929 in Pewamo, MI the daughter of John and Nina (Parks) Hattis. Bertalou married Raymond R. Lumbert on April 7, 1951 in Lyons. He passed away in 1961. She worked for Ionia Manor as a Nurses Aid for 15 years, Bertalou liked to draw and embroider. Bertalou is survived by her children, Lorene (Richard) Sprague of Lyons, Roy (Suzanne) Lumbert of Muir, and Linda (Philip) Wetherbee of Muir; sister Birdalene Armistead of Waterford; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lumbert; brothers, Kenneth, Raymond, Vernon, Lloyd, and Harold (Bill); sisters, Geraldine Hattis and Katherine Williams. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 13th, 1:00 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Muir with Pastor Mark Gerdes officiating.
