June Maxine Robertson, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Monahans, TX. She was born on February 26, 1931 in Delhi, LA to John Sylvester and Katherine (Smith) Andrews. She married Rex Robertson on December 30, 1950 in Carlsbad, NM and they shared 64 wonderful years together until his passing on September 10, 2014.
June was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games and loved to travel. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her vegetables and spaghetti. June, who was known as “Meme” by her family, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
June is survived by her sons: Travis Robertson of Kermit, TX and John Robertson and wife Janice of Lovington, NM; brothers: John Earl Andrews and wife Ruth of Tyler, TX and Roy Andrews and wife Mary Ann of Monroe, LA; grandchildren: Shelley, Laura, Gloria, Maegan, Lisa, Joel, and Daniel; great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Katelyn, John, Elisabeth, Eli, Jevon, Kealan, Makayla, Dylan, and Ethan; and great-great grandchildren: Laila, Knox, Motley, Halen, and Livi.
June was preceded in death by her husband: Rex Robertson; and her parents: John and Katherine Andrews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Kermit, TX officiated by Dudley Mullins. Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Joel Scheible, Craig Robertson, Wesley Robertson, Chad Gray, Kelvin Robertson and Jason Hutchins.
