Note: A short story about James Albert that was recorded in the history of his mother:
"My Grandmother --- Pauline Kerstine Poulsen"
complied by John A. Freestone.
"An incident occurred a few days before the birth of Albert that in later years became of grave importance. As told by Grandma, "I was laying on the bed dozing, and I could just hear the murmur of the voices of James and Marie. Suddenly a mature young man stood over me. His hair was very black and his skin was fair. At that moment I felt like my heart would burst with love for him, and I reached out my arms. When they touched only space and fell by my side, I awakened with a groan. James came running and asked what was wrong. I told him I had just seen a very handsome young man in my dreams, and I loved him. He hardly knew how to take such a statement. It took 21 years for me to realize that the young man I had seen that day was the spirit of Albert, waiting to be born. The day he was 21, when he died, he was the image of the young man who had stood over me. I remembered his features and knew every detail of his beloved face."
[Another incident relating to Albert's death was about his pocket watch sent to me by OJ Cluff.]
"The watch belonged to [James] Albert Freestone. He was born February 21, 1869. He died during an epidemic of, what they called "Lagirppe" [Influenza]. Each day his condition became worse. He finally died of inflammation of the brain. He died on his 21st birthday. The precise minute and hour he was born. His watch, which he always carried, stopped the instant he died. His mother was inconsolable. A month later her father appeared to her in dream and showed her a roll of paper with a list of names, and told her it was for Albert. She remembered the name of the last woman. When Uncle Jim Packer returned from his mission to Denmark he got some names of Ancestors. This woman's name was on the list. Albert was later sealed to this woman.
