Rev. Felix Potter was the son of Lewis W and Nancy (Hickerson) Potter. Felix an ordained Minister of the Long Prairie Baptist church and a farmer.

He was married four known times with a total of five known children He first married Mary A Brown ca 1821 in Edwards Co., they had three known children. Jesse, Nancy Jane and Cyrus Potter. He second married Lavina Brown ca 1830 no known issue. Felix married the third time to Elizabeth Hirst 10 Apr 1849 in Edwards Co., IL no known issue. He married the fourth time to Mary Ann Christy 20 May 1860 in Warren Co., KY and they had two known children Lucretia E and John F Potter.
