There was a memorial for him, but for some reason he, Creator James Saul, deleted the memorial. But the Metzler family plot is very large and the Sexton has stated, "there are 25-50 unmarked or faded funeral plaques" Frantz Metzler and his wife are most likely one of those Unmarked graves in the Northwest section near the Woodman monument of August Metzler.

Biography: Looks like Frantz Metzler came to America in 1850 to New York and stayed there until he moved his family to Colorado AFTER 1861.

The military records show us that Frantz and his family were in New York at least until 1861 when he served in the 62nd Reg. NY Infantry. And their son Augustin was born in New York 1854.

There is a Naturalization card for Franz Metzler living at W. 52nd St. N Y dated: Feb 11, 1861 witnessed by: George Schwickert [2] This may be Franz????
