CUMBERLAND – Mary Jo Baird, 85, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born on August 21, 1935 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William J. Sell and wife Jessie “Tots” Sell, and Leona “Robinette” Gormer and husband George Gormer. In addition to her parents and step-parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Baird; and great-grandson, Elijah Jeffery.
She is survived by her children, Cathey Moore and husband Joe, FL, and Lisa Collins and husband Chuck, Cumberland; brother, William Sell; grandchildren, Jessica Strickland and husband Jim, FL, Nicole Moore, Charity Collins and partner Jessyca Kimble, Cumberland, Destinee Clark and husband Josh, Cumberland, Taylor Baird, Hagerstown, and Noelle Hart, Clear Spring; great-grandkids, Aiden and Kylie Bell, Rory Moore, Elliott and Jade Kimble, Kelson Clark, Kami “Fat Boy” Clark, and Tanner Clark; and special friend, Morgan Ruppenkamp, CO.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown, on Monday, October 19, 2020, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
