Jenny Bason Robinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend was called home by Our Lord and Savior on October 11, 2020, ending her brave battle with myelofibrosis.

Jenny was born in Durango, Colorado December 9, 1941. She graduated from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She earned her Bachelor Degree at New Mexico State University, and later earned her Master Degree in Creative Writing from UTEP, while working full time and tending her family.

Jenny taught English at Ross Middle School and Burgess High School in El Paso for a total of 35 years. After retiring from the public schools, she taught briefly at El Paso Community College. Her compassion for animals then led her to work for her daughter Donna at Eastwood Animal Clinic.

Jenny loved to read, travel, sew, and play the piano. She had a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She would offer advice "lecture" to all of them, especially the grandchildren. Her "lectures" became a source of fun for them, as they would often chide each other with, "You better not do that! You'll get a lecture from Grandma."

Jenny was preceded in death by her mother, Ottie Hansen Bason, her sister Sandy Mortimer, and her husband Gene Mortimer, and her grandson, Sean Nesmith. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fulton Robinson, Jr., her sister Frankie Lewis (husband Jim) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her sister-in-law, Donna Stamp, three daughters, Donna Robinson Diller (husband Bryan), Lisa Lujan, both of El Paso, Texas, and Jill Cooper (husband Anthony) of Farmersville, Texas; seven grandchildren, Ben Diller, Brandon Diller (wife Kristen), Brynna Diller, Lynette Dunston (husband Brandon), Jenna Coleman (husband Michael), Hailey Cooper, and Cheyenne Cooper; and five great grandchildren, Londyn Diller, Stella Rose Diller, Dillon Dunston, Jolene Coleman, and Raelynn Coleman.

The family would like to thank Jenny's Oncologist, Dr. Maria Aloba for her efforts on Jenny's behalf, the nurses of the Oncology wing of Providence East Hospital, and the staff at The Center for Compassionate Care of Hospice El Paso.

To the many friends who have offered prayer, good wishes, and assistance, we sincerely thank you. We love you all.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, no services are planned at this time. A memorial service is planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers for the family, please consider a donation in Jenny's name to one of the local animal rescue organizations.
