Mrs. Barker was born in Franklin County on September 2, 1927 to the late George R. Karsner, Sr., and Lillian Calvert Karsner. She was retired from the Kentucky Supreme Court Clerk’s Office. She was a member of Highland Christian Church, The Order of Eastern Star Hiram Lodge #93, and Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #4075. She was an avid reader and appreciated the natural beauty of Kentucky scenery. She loved and cherished her family dearly.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kelly Barker, Jr. and by her brother, George R. Karsner, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Georgene Barker Boll and husband Theodore, of McLean, Virginia and by her daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Barker, of Waddy, Kentucky. She was also blessed with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Private services will be observed.
