Dort, David Truscott- Born in Flint on June 7, 1916, the youngest child of Marcia Webb Dort (1881-1978) and auto pioneer Josiah Dallas Dort (1861-1925). Cranbrook, '34; Princeton, '38. Married to Patricia Jean Cumings on August 29, 1938. Owner of Bishop Flying Service and Michigan Central Airlines. Manufactured Michigan Arrow mobile homes and travel trailers, formed and operated the Flint Riding & Driving Club, a school for training horses and riders in hunter, jumper, and dressage. He served on the Citizens Banking Corporation board from 1966 to 1988. He loved music, and he loved Flint. Co-founder of the Musical Performing Arts Association and the Flint Institute of Music. Co-founder, with his late wife Patricia, of the J. Dallas and Marcia W. Dort Park at Hurley Medical Center. First professional director of development for Hurley Medical Center, founder of the annual Hurley Benefit Ball. Co-founder of the Flint International Pipe Organ Competition. Longtime member of the Glenwood Cemetery board.A member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Flint, the Fint Rotary Club, Flint Golf Club, Flint Tennis Club, Ocean Reef Club, Ocean Reef Raquet Club, Key Largo Anglers Club. Former member of Shakespeare Club of Flint, Flint City Club, downtown Elks Club, Flint Rainbow Club. His wife of 67 years, Patricia Cumings Dort, died in 2005. He is survived by his three children: Dallas Cumings Dort, Marcia Dort Hinckley (and Samuel), and Charles Webb Dort, M.D. (and Sherry); and seven grandchildren: David Bogart Dort, Elizabeth Crossley Dort Hall (and Gregory), Sara Katherine Hinckley (and Reid Martin), and Jennifer Dort Hinckley Baglia (and Alan), Dominique Gutierrez (and Bertrand), Desirée Thomas, and Mindy Odai (and Michael); and eight great-grandchildren: Stella Jennifer Martin, Bailey Marielle Hall, Madeleine Renée Dort, Cassidy Patricia Hall, Manuel Rousseau Gutierrez, Marcel Domingo Gutierrez, Matthieu Skye Gutierriez, and Pippa Harley Odai
