Mary Elizabeth Royer was born on October 19, 1935, in Woodbine, Iowa to Ralph and Blanche (Rayl) Royer. She grew up in Woodbine, graduating in the class of 1954. One of Mary's greatest passions was traveling. Some of her expeditions led her to Europe and the Middle East, where she gained invaluable knowledge and memories to cherish. Beyond her adventures abroad, Mary made an indelible impact through her profession as a nurse. Her dedication to caring for others knew no bounds, and she selflessly served the needs of countless patients throughout her career.
