Marilyn Sue Beard, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Marilyn was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on June 22, 1935 to Oscar and Lola Taylor. She met Bob Beard, her husband of 60 years, during his time serving in the army in her hometown. They were married on April 29, 1955 and settled in Austin where they raised their three children. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a faithful Christian. Bob and Marilyn achieved their dream travelling all over the US and Canada towing a travel trailer.

Marilyn is survived by her children; son Ken Beard and his wife Karen of Round Rock, son Doug Beard and his wife Linda of Round Rock, and daughter Cindy Grable and husband Bill of Mapleton, Oregon; granddaughter Elicia Hendricks and step-grandchildren David Bennett and Jennifer Hill; great-grandchildren Billy, Wyatt, Gemma, Tre’, and Daisy.

A funeral will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 3125 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery at 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas.
