Mr. Armitage was a resident of Williamsville a number of years ago: Mr. Thomas Armitage, a former resident of this village, died at his home, No. 163 Longnecker Street, Buffalo, on Sunday, October 23 (?), aged 57 years, 8 months and 26 days. Mr. Armitage is survived by his wife and several children. The funeral was held from his late home Wednesday afternoon. A large delegation of members of the Lancaster Benevolent Association, accompanied by the Lancaster Band, attended the services. Mr. Armitage had been a member of the association for about twenty-five years."
