Eugene R. Cordell, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away October 15, 2020. He was born March 6, 1929 to the late Irven Leslie Cordell and LaVon Wanetta (née Huddleston), and raised by his grandparents, Richard Cordell and Berlie (née Johnson).

Eugene married Nelda June Milliken, February 27, 1949, and she preceded him in death August 26, 2010.

He was employed as an electronic technician for Western Electric for 35 years, and then in the Electronic Engineering Department for Community Hospital East for 10 years, retiring in 1995. Eugene was a longtime member of Calvary Tabernacle.

Eugene is survived by his children, Michael A. Cordell, Cynthia D. Eason (Byron) and Mark S. Cordell; brother, Donald Cordell; sisters, Jeanine Palmer and Delores Cordell; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Donna L. Lawrence; a brother, Jerry Cordell; and a sister, Carol Ann McCoy, preceded him in death.

Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
