George R. “Dick” Bryant, 94, died Thursday October 15, 2020 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction with Michael Ure officiating. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family.

Dick is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Colby (Julie), Jon (Bonnie) and Jeff (Theresa); step-daughter, Christine (Michael); grandchildren, Ryan (Christal), Betsy (Mike), Joe (Ginelle), Andrew, Jackson, Ryan (Caitlin) and Casey (Amanda); several great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol; Bobi (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Christina (Carstensen) Bryant; daughter, Toni Jean Bryant; sister, Jean Webb and husband, John; brother-in-law, William McMullen; step-sons, David and Paul Kennedy and mother-in-law, Margaret Lee.

George R. “Dick” Bryant was born January 14, 1926 at Sulphur Springs, Iowa. He graduated from Newell High School. He then attended Buena Vista College before serving in the United States Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kennedy on August 30, 1985 at the Little Brown Church. Dick was an egg buyer for Echo Lake Produce in Wisconsin and later moved to Harcourt in 1993. Dick also was a vendor selling sterling silver rings and novelties, one of the largest vendors in Iowa. He enjoyed bird watching, football, computer games, and landscaping.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
