Charles Edward Bright, 71, of Greenville died the morning of Sept. 10, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Charles Edward Bright, 71, of Greenville died the morning of Sept. 10, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Highland Terrace Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Jordan and Rev. Royce Litchfield will officiate. Burial follows at Memoryland Memorial Park.

Born April 6, 1936, in Hope, Ark., he was the son of Ruevel and Glen Anders Bright. He married Nova Wilson on Jan. 28, 1961, in Blevins, Ark.

Mr. Bright served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from E-Systems where he was a manager in electronic fabrication. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and served as a deacon there.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jody Bright of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law Dena and David Arnold of Greenville; one sister, Velora Haltom of Hope, Ark.; grandchildren Michael and wife Malinda Bright, Justin Bright, Addie Arnold and Avery Arnold, all of Greenville; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Bright and Alieyah Bright of Greenville.

His parents preceded him in death.

Pallbearers are Michael Bright, Justin Bright, Avery Arnold, Charles Roberts, Bobby Taylor, Harold Smith and Pat Cauley.

Memorials may be made to Highland Terrace Baptist Church Youth Department or Chlldren's Ministry.
