Jean L. Lampman - Obituary
Jean L. Lampman, 74, of Midland, died Thursday evening, April 24, 2015 at her home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and are entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.

Jean L. Lampman, 73, died at her home on April 24, 2015, from pancreatic cancer. She was born May 3, 1941 on a farm south of Farwell to Gertrude and Sidney Wood. She had four siblings, Jerry Wood (deceased), Jim Wood, John and Mindy Wood and Jack and Jann Wood.
In 1960 she married Russell Flaugher and had three children, Steve and Barb Flaugher, Rebecca and Joisain Ninaber and Penny and Frank Flavin.
In 1979 she divorced and married Gaylord Lampman and gained two stepchildren, Mark Lampman (deceased) and Dawn Lampman.
Jean had four grandchildren, Tara and Chris Folz, Franklin (FJ) Flavin and fiancee Alyssa Campbell, Katlin Flavin, and Justin and Brandi Lampman. She also had two great great-grandchildren, Caiden and Grayson Folz.
She retired from the Midland Post Office after 31 years as a rural carrier, and was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Sanford. She was also actively involved in the community throughout her life. Her volunteerism and activism stretched across many organizations, from the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America to the Midland Center for the Arts, Meals on Wheels, the Open Door Soup Kitchen, and the Midland County Election Precincts, to name a few. She will be missed dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on her birthday, Sunday May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Community of Christ Reunion Campground, 3500 W. River Road, Sanford, Mich. All are welcome to the luncheon immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to the Sanford Community of Christ Church or Mid-Michigan Hospice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.
