MRS. SARAH SURRATT DIED THURSDAY
~ Williamston, June 27. - (Special) - Mrs. Sarah Surratt died at her home on Main street last Thursday night and was buried Friday at six o'clock.
~ Mrs. Surratt was nearly eighty years old at the time of her death, she had been a resident of Williamston longer than anyone.
~ She was a member of the Baptist church, and had lived a life of Christian activity.
~ She is survived by one brother, R.V. Acker, and the following children: Mrs. Lillie Grant, Miss Mettie Surratt, Mr. Will Surratt all of Williamston and Mr. George Surratt of Atlanta.
~ Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at six o'clock, conducted by Rev. R.R. Dagnall and Rev. G. T. Harmon. A large number of friends and relatives from the community and different parts of the county attended.
