Beverly A. Sorensen, 88, of Highland Park, IL passed away on October 14, 2020. Beverly was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1932 and grew up in Lakeville, MN where she went to Lakeville Senior High School.

After High School, Bev moved to Chicago, IL to go to college. After graduating from college, she became a Chicago public school teacher for 34 years and retired at age 61.

Beverly married Henning Sorensen in 1966 and was married to Henning for 46 years.

Beverly loved to travel and explore new places all over the world with her husband. She loved genealogy and spent hours in the library doing research. Bev loved meeting new people and learning their life stories.

Beverly was an avid reader, loved to sew, enjoyed going to live theatre productions and loved to visit the Chicago Botanic gardens and see all the flower gardens.

Beverly leaves behind her two sisters, Audrey Ratzlaff of Burnsville ,MN and Mildred Kelly of St. Claire Shores, MI and the loving families of her many nieces and nephews.

Beverly and Henning will be laid to rest at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chicago Veterans, 2240 W Ogden Ave. Lower Level 11, Chicago, IL, 60612.
