32 year old carpenter, Roy Tilman Pfau, born in New Springfield, a son of Aaron and Sidney Lower Pfau, who were both born in New Springfield, died of Typhoid Fever.

After a three weeks illness in the Cortland Hospital, Roy T. Pfau, Pleasant Grove, died at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon of typhoid fever which followed an operation for appendicitis.

The body was removed to the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs A.C. Pfau, 1926 Market St., where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. W.J. Kratz, pastor of St Luke's Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery.

Roy T. Pfau was born April 12, 1885, at New Springfield, and had spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. Previous to his illness he had been a valued employee of the Stone-Webster Construction Co. A young man of exemplary habits and genial, affable manner, Mr Pfau gained the instant friendship and respect of all who met him. He was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Beside his parents, he leaves his wife, Sylvia Hoffman Pfau, whom he married in 1905, two daughters, Mildred and Olive, and two brothers, Otto and Zeno, both residing at home.

Daughter Olive Irene Pfau 1906-1996 married Ernest Rudolph Cline 1897-1978. (Ernest is buried in Lake Park. Olive died Jan 22, 1996 in Milton, Santa Rosa, Florida. Cannot find where she is buried. Since Ernest died in 1978, and she lived 18 years after that, it is possible she remarried. ??)
